  9. Voilà l'annonce Stretch goal #13 unlocked + Canada, you may want to read this + Reputation mechanic... 0 commentaires First of all, thank you for the amazing push you did yesterday on BGG! The game is now #3 on the Hotness list!!! You think we can get it a bit higher? https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/218293/rise-nobility 6 Buildings unlockedWe've reached Port #13 and with that, we managed to unlock another SG! 6 new additional buildings with unique abilities will be added in the core game! We've added 12 additional buildings so far and this will immensely increase replayability. With the increasing number of buildings (workshops) and only 3 spaces available in each guild (18 total) this will guarantee that each time you play the game will be different. CanadaWe've got some really good news for Canadian backers. We've worked hard over the weekend, crunching the numbers, going over the math, sending mails back and forth, but finally we are super thrilled to announce that this Kickstarter campaign as of today is Canada friendly! The games for Canadian backers will be shipped from within Canada. That means, that you won't be paying anything additional, no fees, no customs taxes, nothing. We are taking care of this for you. Reputation mechanicWe are going to use this opportunity to talk about the Reputation mechanic, one of the most important aspects of Rise to Nobility. We read a couple of comments here about the need for bookkeeping and remembering when was what... To be frank, a couple of reviewers too misinterpreted that rule at the beginning and we are going to take the blame for this for not making it to be as clear as possible. Here is how the reputation works: Whenever you take an action that increases/decreases your reputation, the new value takes effect immediately in the same round. So if by increasing your reputation you managed to open up another dice to play, than by all means you can do that. That's part of the strategy in the game. Calculating what is the best move with the dice rolled and how to use them the most efficiently. However, we can see that it can be misunderstood. Here is the "key" sentence in the rulebook: "If you take an action that increases or decreases your reputation, your new dice value limit takes effect on your next turn." But, throughout the rulebook you can see that we make a distinction between the words "turn" and "round". One turn means, placing one die, then waiting for you opponents to place a die and then you take another turn placing a die. Round however is when all the players spent their dice by taking turns, collecting your die from the board, and then rolling the dice at the start of the new round. A lot of people are mistaking "turn" for "round" and we can see why you think there is a lot of bookkeeping going on. In fact, it's quite the contrary, you just check your reputation at the moment and place a die if you don't exceed it. This is not the final version of the rulebook and this was already on our to-do list for editing. We'll correct that so there will be no room for confusion! Hope it's clear now The Mico says hi!We are all great fans of The Mico, so we think you will enjoy this video of one of his sessions illustrating a Halfling Settler card. Check out the video first and then the final version below Masterpiece! Moving onNow that we unlocked the last stretch goal, let's see what's coming next... First of all, we want to thank @MAJBrown22 for the 1.974 idea! There are a lot of things going on at the moment and I can't believe we were going to miss that... Major, thank you!!! 1.974 is the number of backers of our first Kickstarter campaign. We have a small surprise planned for all of you when we reach that number, a token of our appreciation However, we won't reveal it now. Let's hit that number first After the 1.974 backer stretch goal, we have another at $150.000. As promised, and as we mentioned in the comments section, if something you propose is doable, doesn't conflict with our vision of the game, doesn't jeopardize the campaign and if we feel it improves the value of Rise to Nobility we'll definitely consider it. So that's why, we are more than happy to announce that the $150k Stretch Goal will be to upgrade the thickness of the player boards! We are upgrading them from cardstock to thick cardboard! We have a lot more cool things planned for the campaign, so don't forget to spread the word, invite your buddies from Facebook groups, pass the word to Canadian backers that we are Canada Friendly now and let's unlock those stretch goals! Cheers!

    JAB 2017

  13. Hum intéressant!!! Donc tu le pledge pour 11 copies? ( 11 copie pour le prix de 10) En passant un nouveau SG est atteint Stretch goal #12 unlocked + Demoing RtN + Surprise for the Dutch 2 commentaires 12 mentions J'aime Hope you are having a great weekend surrounded with your closest and maybe managed to squeeze a game or two during the past few days! We were out demoing Rise to Nobility at the Skopje book fair. We had a blast hanging out with fellow gamers. . Stretch goal #12 unlocked! For those of you who enjoy solo gaming, hope you are excited even more! We have 15 Objective cards now for the solo mode! That's 50% increase in replayability. For those of you that own Cavern Tavern, and tried out the solo (story) mode, we wanted to let you know that we are going to follow a similar recipe. What does that mean? Everyone who played the story driven solo mode in Cavern Tavern, have noticed that every objective card had a little thematic setting. What you need to do and why you need to do that. If they look back now at those cards, they are going to see that Rise to Nobility was born through those cards. Mostly, you were working behind Nasty's back, together with the Wizard to set up meetings for the different races to bring them closer together and give them the opportunity to talk about peace in the Five Realms. Thanks to your efforts in Cavern Tavern, peace was achieved, Caveborn was born and you continue the story in Rise to Nobility, with the books to fill everything in between. So you can expect the similar approach for the solo mode in Rise to Nobility. Story driven, highly thematic experience that will move the story forward and eventually take us to what's next after Rise to Nobility. Here is a map from The Five Realms with focus on Cavern Tavern and Caveborn (the setting in Rise to Nobility). The worldbuilding is a work in progress and I hope that you'll enjoy the lore we are creating. The Five Realms As for the mechanic in the solo mode... We want to keep the multiplayer "feel" of the game and transfer that in the solo mode. That's why, instead of using a deck of cards that will control the AI, we'll use automa dice. Each die will tell you what spot is blocked at the board and you would have to adapt your moves just like in multiplayer game. Next stretch goal, 6 additional buildings. After that? A lot of cool things In the meantime, we are going to share more Settler cards art with you Ok, ok, I know this is our game, but, we'll say it... The Settler deck will be the most beautiful deck of cards ever! The Dutch surpriseWe are excited to inform our Dutch speaking backers that the rulebook will be translated on Dutch and will be uploaded on our website long before you receive the game. Since the game is language independent, translating the rulebook to your language would make it super easy for everyone that has difficulties with the English language to enjoy the game Rise to Nobility is getting hotter with each day passedRise to Nobility is No. 6 on the BGG Hotness list! And that's all thanks to you! Some of you know that this is a huge deal! There are thousands upon thousands of games on BGG and these are the top games that are most "talked" about now and Rise to Nobility is one of them!!! Woohoooo! The more we stay on the Hotness list, the more people will find out about the game, that means more backers which leads to more Stretch Goals unlocked So if you want to help us stay on the list, visit Rise to Nobility on BGG. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/218293/rise-nobility Become a fan of the game, subscribe to it, thumb up the pictures you like... Any activity on the game page will help us stay on the Hotness list as long as possible! Have a great Sunday! Cheers!
  14. Cool une extension incluse!!! Plastic Insert unlocked! + "The Chancery" Mini Expansion on the way 5 commentaires 30 mentions J'aime Wohooo! We managed to unlock the plastic insert in no time. We'll talk with our manufacturer and make sure sleeved cards fit inside the insert! Now, lets talk about what's ahead of us at $100k. Caveborn is opening it's Chancery with Berk the Clerk at the "wheels". Berk the town clerk What will "The Chancery" mini expansion include? 1 small board 12 City Commissions (cards) 36 City tokens 12 Dice tiles. Now, you'll forgive us that the artwork for the small board is not complete. The Mico went on a well deserved weekend with his family by the Ohrid lake, so we'll need a couple of days to finish that one. Oh, and by the way, if you have the chance to visit this part of the world, you have to visit the Ohrid lake! It's the oldest (and one of the deepest) lake in Europe and home to more than 350 species found nowhere else in the world. It's a really great place with a lot of history. Let's move on to "The Chancery" Images are not final and are work in progress What does "The Chancery" bring to the table? The 12 City Commissions are secret objectives that can bring you victory points at the end of the game. However, you have to complete them in order to use the bonuses they grant you at the end. How will this work? At the start of the game, 1 City Commission will be dealt to each player. Along with that, the players will take 3 City tokens, and draw 1 Dice tile from the pile that will be facedown. To complete the City Commission in order to bring you points at the end of the game, you will need to place the exact dice that the Dice Tile requires from you. Example of a Dice tile So in this case, you will have to place 1, 5 and 2, in order to make the City Commission active and to receive the end game bonus written on the card. You can complete them throughout the whole game (no need to do that in one round). You just place one of your dice on the city tile and when the Round ends, you collect the dice and place a City token in it's space to indicate that part of the Dice tile is completed. When you complete all of the requirements of the Dice tile, you turn over the tile and place it over the City Commission (which is hidden from other players) to indicate that you've complete it. Another cool thing is that you can visit Berk the Clerks office more times and draw another City Commission along with another Dice tile and 3 City tokens. And yes, you can complete more then 1 City Commission card to score more points at the end of the game. However, if you want to draw another City Commission, you must place a meeple in the Chancery, so he can start working in the city administration of Caveborn which will bring you benefits during the game. This is one of my favorite stretch goals (Vojkan here) I just love when at the end of the game I go "Uh-uh, you didn't win, I've got 8 more points from the City Commission!" I know that a lot of you mentioned that you would like to see some secret objectives for end game scoring, thankfully, we anticipated your needs and planned in time for this stretch goal! Hope you are excited as we are! Spread the word, bring in your buddies and let's smash this one real quick! Cheers!
  15. k-ri, tu étais pas sur si tu le partais, donc j'en ai parti un. Mais je sais que cela peut se remplir au 2 places. On est des acheteurs compulsifs.
